SIP ALG is een stukje software in de router die IP adressen aanpast om zo de inkomende VoIP gesprekken te helpen. Vaak is dit stukje software niet goed gebouwd waardoor de inkomende gesprekken niet binnen kunnen komen. Het kan echter ook zo zijn dat het doorschakelen niet goed gaat of dat er eenzijdige audio is.

Vaak is het uitschakelen van SIP ALG de beste oplossing.

De volgende problemen kunnen ontstaan als SIP ALG aanstaat.
  • Eenzijdige audio.
  • Gesprekken die worden verbroken na 32 seconden.
  • Doorverbind problemen.
  • Gesprekken in de wachtzetten of uit de wacht halen werkt niet goed.
  • Niet alle toestellen rinkelen in een belgroep.
  • Toestellen blijven door rinkelen nadat er is opgenomen.
In 3CX kan je een firewall check doen, mocht SIP ALG aanstaan op je firewall, dan krijg je onderstaande melding:

  • Not detected
    Is reported when 3CX reaches the SIP ALG checking server and the content sent and received is matches without alteration of its content. The test is marked as “Passed”.
  • Failed
    Is reported when 3CX was not able to connect to the SIP ALG checking server. Possible reasons could be a blocked connection or due to SIP ALG handlers manipulation of the content in such a manner that it is not understood any more by the server. The test is marked as “Failed”.
  • Detected (Values)
    Is reported when 3CX was able to connect to the SIP ALG checking server but the content seen by the server was altered compared to what was generated by 3CX. The values shown are a CRC32 checksums from what it should have been to what has is seen by the server side and vice versa. The test is marked as “Failed”.

Step 5: Disable SIP ALG
